To the man who knows it all:
The good, the bad, and the downright ugly.
The one into whose ear I’ve rambled endlessly—
from the mundane to the deeply joyous,
to the crushingly painful.
The one who witnessed my lowest point,
then celebrated every small victory
on my way back up—
and beyond.
The one who’s never judged,
but listened—patiently,
and asked thoughtful questions.
The one who’s shown me nothing but love and respect,
even in our starkest disagreements
(“life would be pretty boring if we agreed on everything all the time anyway”).
To be so deeply known,
and still made to feel fully worthy of love and respect—
that is rare.
It’s an honor to celebrate such a big milestone with you.
It’s an honor to be the one by your (other) side.
“Thank you for being a true friend.”
